P100-milyong hot goods natunton

MANILA, Philippines - Natunton ng mga ta­uhan ng Presidential Anti-Smuggling Group ang isang compound sa Balin­tawak, Quezon City na gi­nagamit na imbakan ng mga puslit na pro­duktong nagkaka­ halaga ng P100 milyon.

Gayunman, hindi na­kumpiska ng PASG ang sinasabing ibat-ibang uri ng smuggled material dahil tumutol umano ang mag­kakapatid na George, Joseph at Reynaldo Lim na siyang may-ari ng compound at ang broker na nagpakilalang Tina Yu na sinasabing may malakas ding koneksiyon sa isang congressman at anak ng isang mataas na opisyal ng pamahalaan.

Hindi umano iginalang nina Lim at Yu ang mission order ng PASG operatives mula kay Undersecretary Antonio “Bebot” Villar Jr. kaya hindi napasok ang compound ng Glowide Corp. sa 28th North Diversion Road, Balintawak, Quezon City.

Kabilang sa hinihina­lang smuggled goods sa bodge ang imported garments, auto spare parts, elec­ tronic products, textiles, pumps imp, onions at vete­rinary products. (Mer Layson)
