7 Law schools ipapasara

MANILA, Philippines - Inumpisahan na ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang puwersahang pagpapa­sara sa mga law schools na patuloy na hindi naka­kapagtala ng estudyan­teng pumapasa sa “Bar Examinations” o may “percentile rank: zero” sa loob ng 10 taong nakalipas.

Pinangalanan ni CHED Chairman Emmanuel Angeles ang pitong unang paaralan na kanilang ipa­sasara. Kabilang dito ang East Central Colleges, Eastern Samar State University, Polytechnic College of La Union, Samar College, Ramon Magsay­say Technological University, Southern Bicol College at Abra Valley College.

Boluntaryo namang isinara ang mga law programs ng Virgen De Los Remedios College, International Harvardian University, Manuel A. Roxas Educational Institution, at Zamboanga A.E. College.

Ayon kay Angeles, bibigyan naman ng opisyal na babala ng CHED ang mga law schools na naka­pagrehistro ng mababang 5% passing rate sa bar exams upang makatugon at maitaas ang antas ng ibinibigay nilang edukas­yon. (Danilo Garcia)
