Oil firms itinuro sa LPG shortage

Posible umanong ka­ga­gawan ng malalaking oil companies kung bakit nagkakaroon ng shortage o kakulangan sa supplying Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) .

Ayon kay LPG Marketers Association President Arnel Ty, imposible uma­nong magsabwatan ang 138 refillers, 1,200 dealers at 10,000 outlets para lamang magkaroon ng shortage sa LPG.

Sa ginanap na pagdi­nig sa Kongreso, sinabi din ni Energy Secretary An­gelo Reyes na wala uma­nong LPG shortage at may sapat na supply nito.

Idinagdag din ni Jay­vee Palafox, representative ng Petron Gasul at Bobby Kanapi, spokesman ng Shell na maging sila ay normal ang supply ng LPG sa kanilang mga customers.

Ang nagiging problema anila ay ang illegal na mga refilling station kung saan sila umano ang nagtatago ng supply ng LPG ngunit nabigo naman itong ipali­wanag kung paano naka­kaapekto sa supply ng LPG ang nasabing mga illegal refilling stations.

Sinabi din ni Ty na nag­simula na rin ang Petron, Shell at Total na bumili ng LPG sa Liquigaz Philippines Corp. simula noong De­ cem­ber. (Butch Quejada)
