NPO chief, pumapasok pa rin kahit suspendido

Lalo umanong napatunayan ang pagiging malakas sa Malacañang ni National Printing Office (NPO) director Felipe Evardone dahil sa kabila ng suspensyong ipinataw dito ni Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC) ay nadiskubreng patuloy pa rin itong pumapasok at nag-o-opisina.

Mismong complainant ni Evardone ang lumiham kay Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Director General Conrado Limcaoco para isumbong ang pag-opisina ng NPO director gayong nagpalabas ng 90-day suspension si Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita.

Ayon kay Anselmo Badillo, sales manager ng Ernest Printing at nagreklamo ng "unsatisfactory performance" ni Evardone, hindi kinikilala ng opisyal ang kautusan ng Malacañang dahil tumatayo umanong padrino nito si Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Gabriel "Gabby" Claudio na kababayan umano ng NPO chief.

Si Evardone ay unang pinaimbistigahan ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson sa Senado matapos madiskubreng kinasangkapan ng kanyang kapatid na si Eastern Samar Gov. Ben Evardone, spokesman ng Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) at nagtutulak sa People’s Initiative para sa pag-imprenta ng campaign materials sa Charter change.

Nauna rito, ibinulgar ng mga private printers na Eastland Printink Inc., Ernest Printing Corp. at Best Forms Inc. ang monopolyong nangyayari sa bidding sa loob ng NPO. (R.Andal)
