Paglabag ng Poro Point sisilipin ng Kamara

-
Iimbestigahan ng Kamara ang napaulat na paglabag ng Poro Point seaport sa San Fernando, La Union dahil sa pag-ooperate nito ng walang Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) na naging dahilan upang magpalabas ng cease and desist order ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Ayon kay Isabela Rep. Edwin Uy, chairman ng House special committee on Bases conversion, aalamin ng komite ang umano’y paglabag ng Bulk Handlers Inc., isang private operator sa Poro Point Special Economic and Freeport Zone.

"We would like to be further clarified about the issues including the alleged lack of an ECC and other environmental violations committed by the port developer as pointed to by the DENR," sabi ni Uy sa kanyang liham sa Bases Conversion Development Authority Chairman Filadelfo Rojas at BCDA President and CEO Narciso Abaya.

(Rudy Andal)
