Paggamit ng condom, contraceptives ituturo sa HS students

Lubhang nababahala ang Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) sa hakbang ng Department of Education sa pagtuturo sa mga high school students ng sex education kabilang na ang paggamit ng condoms at iba pang contraceptives.

Ayon kay Dr. Angelita Aguirre ng Human Life International, labis umano ang kanilang pagkabahala sa nilalaman ng module ng DepEd na ipatutupad nayong buwan dahil nakasaad dito ang aktibong promosyon ng "Value Safe Sex Education."

Sa liham na ipinadala ni Aguirre kay DepEd acting Secretary Fe Hidalgo, dapat ay hindi inililihim ang iba pang detalye tungkol sa sex tulad ng condom kung saan hindi ito nagpoprotekta ng 100 porsiyento.

"It claims to foster values, restraint and responsibility yet it implies that sexual activity outside marriage maybe acceptable for as long as it does not result to ‘unwanted pregnancy’ and sexually transmitted by ‘protective sex’," ayon pa kay Aguirre.

Iginiit pa ni Aguirre na mas makabubuti kung mga magulang na lamang ang magtuturo ng sex education at hindi eskuwelahan. (Gemma Amargo-Garcia)
