'Di kami naniniktik sa media' - AFP

Nilinaw kahapon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na hindi sila magsisilbing "spy" sa mga delikadong coverage ng mga mediamen.

Ito ay may kaugnayan sa pagpiyok o pag-angal ng mga organisasyon ng media sa panukala ng liderato ng militar na sumama ang tropa ng mga sundalo partikular na sa mga delikadong coverage ng mga mediamen.

"The AFP assures the public and the media that soldiers who will be trained on public affairs will not be used to spy on the media as what was insinuated in a number of news items," ani AFP-Piblic Information Office chief Lt. Col. Daniel Lucero.

Nauna nang tinutulan ng NUJP ang nasabing panukala ni AFP-Civil Relations chief Brig. Gen. Victor Corpuz. Isa anilang malaking insulto, pang-eespiya at paninikil sa larangan ng malayang pamamahayag kung ipatutupad ang nasabing panukala. (Ulat ni Joy Cantos)
