Sa direktiba ni Honasan, magbabantay ang mga miyembro ng GUARDIANS sa mga hinihinalang bomber na gumagala sa mga shopping mall at iba pang establisimiyento.
Inatasan rin ni Honasan sa pamamagitan ni Red Kapunan, executive vice president ng GUARDIANS, na tumulong sa pagsanay sa mga barangay tanod at mga empleyado ng bus companies at establishments sa pag-detect ng mga bomba at kung paano matutukoy ang mga potential bombers hindi lamang sa Metro Manila kundi sa iba pang lugar sa bansa.
"Para maging epektibo ang paglaban sa terorismo, kailangan ang kooperasyon at aktibong pakikilahok ng mamamayan, partikular iyong mga may kapabilidad at resources na ma-neutralize ang terrorist activities," pahayag ni Honasan.
Ang GUARDIANS ay may nationwide network mula sa police at military units, community leaders, professionals at government agencies.
"Let us aside politics and stand in our collective fight against terrorism. The government needs everyone’s help to thwart future bomb attacks and in putting to jail these terrorists.
