MANILA, Philippines — Magarbong tinapos ni Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ang kaniyang juniors career matapos umani ng da­­lawang silver medals sa 46th Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships na idinaos sa Bangkok, Thai­land.

Sa huling araw ng kum­petisyon ay humirit pa ng pilak na medalya ang Behrouz Elite Swimming Team standout kung saan pumangalawa ito sa girls’ 16-18 200m butterfly.

Naitala ni Mojdeh ang dalawang minuto at 21.43 segundo para masiguro ang pilak, habang nanguna si Thi Thuy Trang Le ng Vietnam na may 2:18.55.

Pumangatlo si Thitirat Charoensup ng Thailand na may nailistang 2:26.22.

Nauna nang humirit ng pilak na medalya si Mojdeh sa 100m butterfly event kung saan naisumite nito ang 01:3.40.

“I am happy to have won at least two silver me­dals for the Philippine team. I am however not in my best condition. My times were a bit high from my per­­sonal best times,” sa ni Mojdeh na World Cup Singa­pore Leg finalist.

Nagpasalamat si Mojdeh sa mga coaches nito ga­yundin sa magulang ni­tong sina Joan at Modj para sa pagsuporta sa kaniya.

“Still I am grateful to my coaches who were very patient with me in training. To coach Sherwyn, coach Jek, coach Roxanne and coach Jeremiah. To my mom and dad who wakes up early to bring me to trai­ning. Thank you so much. To all my teammates who makes training more fun,” dag­dag ni Mojdeh.

Nakatakdang tumulak si Mojdeh sa Seattle, Wa­shington upang ipagpatuloy ang training nito ka­sama ang mahuhusay na world-class coaches.

Paghahandaan ni Mojdeh ang qualifying event para sa 2025 Southeast Asian Games na gagana­pin din sa Bangkok.

“This will be my last SEA Age and the last meet before I go back to Seattle and train,” ani Mojdeh.
