Nationwide database registration alang sa mga senior citizens

Ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) nag-awhag sa mga senior citizens sa tibuok nasud sa pagpa-rehistro sa National Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC) pinaagi sa online registration system sa tuyo nga makamugna og nationwide database information system alang sa mga senior citizens.

Usa kini ka ambitious nga proyekto sa NCSC, kay sa pagkakaron gud, wala man kitay hingpit nga talaan ug individual (personal )nga mga kasayoran (data) sa mga 5 to 6 million senior population sa nasud. Gani, bisan sa kalungsoran ug mga dakbayan, dili kita makaingon nga ang tanang senior citizens nasulod sa master list sa OSCA o sa DSWD. Gawas tingali sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, nga gumikan sa P1,000 nga monthly financial assistance, naningkamot gayud ang tanang senior citizens nga ma-rehistro sa buhatan sa OSCA.

"The national database of senior citizens, which records the information of every older person in the country, will serve as a game changer in the formulation and development of programs, interventions, and services for the sector," nagkanayon si Romel Lopez, DSWD Assistant Secretary. 

Pa-rehistro, walay bayad, pinaagi sa official NCSC website, ncsc.gov.ph. Mahimo nga magpa-rehistro sa buhatan sa OSCA, sa respective natong LGUs.

Pagkakaron, mokapin na sa 2.6 million ka senior citizens ang na-rehistro. Akong tan-aw, kulang pa kini’g daku kaayo. Wala pa makatunga sa gidaghanon sa mga seniors sa tibuok nasud. Pa-rehistro na. So, kon magpa-rehistro kita sa NCSC (human na ko, online), daghan kita’g mapaabot nga mga benepisyo, mga prebelihiyo, ug services sama sa libreng dental ug medical checkup, social security, financial ug educational assistance alang sa qualified nga mga senior citizens. 

What are the benefits of NCSC registration?

Laing pangutana: What is the main goal of the National Council of Senior Citizens? Tubag: “The Council through its referral service assists senior citizens to obtain the appropriate services and/or information required in the public and private sector. The Council also advocates on behalf of senior citizens of various issues of importance.”

Dunay mga dagku ug national issues, nga sa pagkakaron, gumikan sa pagkatibulaag sa mga seniors, dili kita makapabuhagay sa atong tingog as one sector, igo lamang kita sa pagpaminaw sa mga issues, as if wala kitay labut sa Pilipinas. Unsa may tumong ug tuyo sa social pension alang sa mga senior citizens?  “The DSWD social pension program aims to provide a stable source of income for qualified senior citizens and, thus, alleviate their state of poverty.”
