Pangadyeon sa mga huwes ug abogado

Nagsugod na ang bista karong buntaga. Gitawag na ang kaso nga giatbangan nila ni Atty. Peter Agbon ug Atty. Nilo Gawong. Si Peter ra ang nia. Abogado si Peter sa gikiha. Si Nilo abogado sa kihante o complainant.

“Respectfully appearing for the defendant, Your Honor” nibarog si Peter. “Where is Atty. Gawong? Gigawongan na sab tingale sa asawa” ni Judge Andy Dunglok. “What is your pleasure Atty. Agbon? I-dismiss ra ni ang kaso ni Atty. Gawong?” dugang sa huwes. Tataw nga dunay sekretong kalagot ang huwes sa abogado nga wa pa niabot. “I can wait for Atty. Gawong, Your Honor. I can accommodate a second call” ni Peter. “Why do you want to wait?” sa huwes.

“Well, Your Honor. I have fraternal love and understanding for my brother lawyer” ni Peter. Naisang kilay sa huwes. “Why do you have fraternal love and understanding for Atty. Gawong?” sa huwes. “We just prayed the Ecumenical Prayer just before the start of the session. We asked God to fill our hearts with fraternal love and understanding” ni Peter. “Recess for 30 minutes!” sa huwes. Malagutong nidukdok sa iyang kahoy nga martilyo sa dukdukanan. Nitindog. Nibiya sa husgado ug nisulod sa iyang chambers.

Gilingi ni Peter ang pangadyeon nga wa gyud diay masulod sa kasingkasing sa ubang mga huwes ug abogado. Dakong karatula nga gipapilit sa bungbong sa husgado nga nag-ingon:

“Almighty God, we stand in your holy presence as our supreme judge. We humbly beseech you to bless and inspire us so that what we think, say and do will be in accordance with your will.

Enlighten our minds, strengthen our spirit and fill our hearts with fraternal love, wisdom and understanding so that we can be effective channels of truth, justice and peace.

In our proceedings today, guide us in the path of righteousness for the fulfillment of your greater glory.”
