CEBU, Philippines - Suspendido og tulo ka buwan nga wala'y sweldo si Konsehal Socrates Fernandez sa Dakbayan sa Talisay human napamatud-an sa Office of the Ombudsman nga guilty sa "simple neglect of duty."

"You are hereby directed to comply with this Order of Suspension by vacating your office, and consequently cease the performance of powers and functions appurtenant thereto, immediately upon receipt," sumala pa sa Memorandum nga gipirmahan ni Department of Interior and Local Government Regional Director Ananias Villacorta.

Ang suspension order personal nga gihatod ni DILG legal officer Ayesh Nogra ngadto sa buhatan ni Fernandez sa alas 10:00 sa buntag.

"The evidence showed that there was enough ground to hold the former mayor administratively liable for allowing the use of a government vehicle to an employee without a trip ticket," matud ni graft investigation and prosecution officer II Maria Corazon Vergara-Naraja.

"I submit myself to the penalty of the Office of the Ombudsman and I will respect the order of the DILG," matud pa ni Fernandez.

Sa pikas nga bahin, si Bise Mayor Romeo Villarante, ang council presiding officer, miingon nga si Fernandez dili una makalihok sa iyang katungdanan isip konsehal hangtod dili pa matapos ang 90-ka adlaw nga suspension order.

Samtang si Cebu first district Representative Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas nasubo sa suspension order sa usa sa mga kaalyado sa partidong Alayon.
