Smuggling diha sa dumanjug nabisto

CEBU, Philippines — Gipangrelibohan sa katungdanan ang hepe ug luyoluyong hepe sa Dumanjug Police Station tungod sa matud pa ilegal nga pagpalusot og mga baboy gikan sa isla sa Negros padung sa Sugbu diha sa maong lungsod.

Tungod sab niini, miumol og  usa ka task force si Gobernador Gwendolyn Garcia pinaagi sa executive order number 16 series of 2024 nag-umol sa “Anti-Smuggling Inter-Agency Task Force” sa Probinsya sa Sugbo.

Kini human nga si Garcia nakadawat og mga taho nga dunay mga baboy ug ubang mga binuhing livestock, goods ug ubang kargamento ang ilegal nga gipalusot diha sa mga baybayon sa pipila ka barangay sa maong lungsod.

Gipasangil nga adunay kasayuran ang maong mga opisyal sa maong modus. Matud pa kining gipalusot walay mga legal nga dokumento.

Pipila ka concerned citizens ang mitaho nga kini diha gipangdiskarga sa mga baybayon sa  Camboang, Bitoon ug Tangil  gikan sa tungang gabii hangtud sa alas 3 sa kaadlawon.

 “The illegal shipments of livestock, goods, and other cargoes to any shoreline of several barangays, which are not sanctioned and regulated by the concerned local government unit, deprives the latter of its right to collect fees from the liable parties,” pagbasa sa EO ni Garcia.

Si PRO-7 director BGen Anthony Aberin mimando sa pagparelibo sa maong mga opisyal ug posibleng ipaubos sila sa imbestigasyon mahitungod niini.

Sugod Oktubre 25, 2025, girelibuhan sa katungdanan sila si Police Captain Kelvin Roy Mamaradlo ang Chief of Police, Deputy niini nga si Police Lieutenant Heine Aspera ug si Police Staff Sergeant Reynold Burlado.

 “How can we be assured of the safety of these hogs if they have not been certified by the local [veterinarians] as well gone through the shippers, gone through the proper processes in securing permits from the DA?” matod ni Garcia, sa taho sa Sugbo News, ang news portal sa Probinsya sa Sugbo.

Ang task force pangulohan ni Aberin kauban isip mga vice chairpersons, sila si Commodore Florante Gagua, director sa Philippine Navy 7; Commodore Weniel Azcuna, hepe sa Philippine Coast Guard 7; ug PBGen Jonathan Cabal, director sa Maritime Police 7.

Ang mga membro naglakip sa mga general manager sa Cebu Port Authority, ug regional director sa nagkadaiyang ahensya sama sa Department of Agriculture, Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), presidente sa League of Municipalities of the Philippines – Cebu Chapter, Provincial Veterinarian, ug mga Mayor sa lungsod sa Dumannug, Barili, Alcantara, Ronda, Moalboal, Badian, Santander, Samboan, Alegria, Ginatilan ug Malabuyoc .

Ang tahas sa maong task force mao ang pag-monitor sa mga kalihokan aron batokan kining ilegal nga kargamento  sa mga hayop, goods ug ubang cargoes; pagsikop sa mga madakpan, pagpahigayon og regular nga tigom ug planning sessions ug regular nga pagtaho ug coordinate sa ubang mga membro.

Ang pakyas pagsunod sa maong tahas makonsiderar nga “neglect of duty” ug adunay igong silot nga ipahamtang.

Ang girelibohang hepe pulihan ni Police Captain Michael Calaurian isip Officer-in-Charge sa Dumanjug Police Station.

Nagkanayon si Police Captain Rex Eden Baguio, tigpamaba sa Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) ang mga girelibuhang police officers naa karon gibutang sa Provincial Headquarters sa CPPO.

"As of this time on going pa ang investigation sa Cebu Province regarding ani kung naa ba gyud sila'y involvement ani that is why ang gibuhat sa province gi remove lang sa sila sa ilang post, gi-reassign lang sa Provincial Holding Unit," sigon ni Baguio.

Ang Provincial Investigation Division Management Unit (PIDMU) sa Cebu Police Provincial Office ang mag-imbestigar niini.
