Dizon niawhag og mass testing strategy
CEBU, Philippines — Ang konseho sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo niawhag sa executive department nga ikonsidera nga dinalian ug kinahanglanon sa kagamhanan sa siyudad nga mag-develop og kaugalingong coronavirus disease (covid-19) targeted ug mass testing strategy.
Kini aron makuha ang tukma nga kondisyon sa maong outbreak subay sa panawagan sa World Health Organization (WHO) alang sa mga nasud nga ipahigayon ang massive testing, isolation sa mga nataptan, contact tracing ug pagtambal.
Ang resolusyon nga giduso ni Konsehal Alvin Dizon kabahin nahisgutang awhag ang giaprobahan sa konseho sa siyudad niadtong Biyernes.
“While expanded testing has been prescribed by the Department of Health (DOH) Department Memorandum 2020-0151 and reiterated by Department Circular No. 2020-0179, the Cebu City government must have its own strategy on targeted covid–19 mass testing in light of the prevailing condition that our city has now become the epicenter of the outbreak in Central Visayas”, matud ni Dizon.
Gilakbit ni Dizon ang findings sa Siyudad sa Valenzuela dihang gipahigayon nila ang ilang gi-target nga mass testing diin lima ka persons under monitoring (PUM) ang nagpositibo sa covid-19.
Nakapaalarma kini tungod kay ang PUMs maoy ulahing prayoridad sa swabbing ubos sa guidelines sa DOH sa mga ipaubos sa testing.
“By following this DOH guidelines on the testing of PUMs as the last in the hierarchy, this poses a grave danger in our communities since they can be potential carriers and we do not want another Sitio Zapatera to happen in our city”, dugang ni Dizon. /BDB (BANATNEWS)
