Polis gi-embargoha’g motor ni Osmeña

CEBU, Philippines — Usa ka polis ang gi-embargohan og motorsiklo ni Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña atubangan mismo sa Camp Sotero Cabahug tungod kay wala kini magsuot og pantalon ug naka-tsinelas lang.

Sa police blotter, giila ang maong polis nga si Patrolman Romil Granada Gelogo, 29, lumad nga taga Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, sakop sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-7 (CIDG-7).

Sa blotter, gisaysay nga gisita ni Osmeña si Gelogo ug gipangitaan kini og Official Receipt (OR)/ Certificate of Registration (CR) kay nag-shorts ug nag-tsinelas lang kini.

Apan wala ihatag ni Gelogo ang gipangayong dokumento hinungdan nga

giguyod sa mga gituohang tawo ni Osmeña ang motorsiklo bisan pa man og wala siya gi-isyuhan og violation tickets.

Gawas sa Honda TMX 155 nga itom nga  motorsiklo  sa polis, naapil sab og dala ang Tag Heuer Wrist Watch sa polis nga mokantidad na og P150 mil sa sulod sa tool box sa motorsiklo.

“LGU (Local Government Unit) is not deputized to impound vehicles and they did not even issue a TOP and impounding receipt. So that is a violation obviously,”sigun pa sa direktor sa Cebu City Police Office nga si Colonel Royina Garma. Ang CIDG-7 mopasaka og kaso batok kang Osmeña.

Sa social media post sa mayor, matud niya gisita niya ang maong polis kay nag shorts ug nagtsinelas ra kini. Wala sab kini motuman sa dihang gipangayoan og papeles sa iyang pagmaneho ug misulod hinuon og balik sa kampo maong napugos sila sa pagguyod niini pagawas.

“By law, the mayor is granted police authority and is in fact in command of the police. Why did this policeman refused to comply when asked for his license, registration, and police ID, and moreover why did he retreat back into the camp after I asked him if he was evading and not complying?,” sigun ni Osmeña sa maong post.

“Why do the Col. Garma’s “checkpoints” issue TOPs to civilians for any excuse including “wearing the wrong helmet” but allow a police officer to leave police headquarters with no license or registration, no side mirror, no registration sticker, and wearing slippers and shorts?,” dugang niini.

Gikwestyon sab niya ang mahalong relo nga gipanagiya sa polis nga kinaubsan pa og ranggo.

Sigun ni Osmeña nahitabo kini samtang siya nagpaabot sa gawas sa kampo kay wala siya pasudla dihang naghatod siya og duha ka mga abugado alang sa duha ka mga membro sa Sangguniang Kabataan ug laing duha nga gipasanginlang nag vote buying sa Barangay Cogon Ramos niadtong Sabado sa gabii.
