Pagmahal sa nasud buhat sa bayani—Rama

CEBU, Philippines - Sa pagselebrar sa makasaysayanong adlaw kagahapon, si Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama mipadayag nga ang matag usa ka tawo mahimong bayani kun siya mobarog sa iyang prinsipyo nga makatarunganon.

Ang maong mensahe gipalanog sa mayor diha sa Plaza Independencia diin gipahigayon ang usa ka programa pahinungod sa ika-152 nga adlaw nga natawhan ni Andres Bonifacio.

“Anyone standing alive today, you must do and participate and contribute to make a difference… Among us, there will be heroes but please don’t exist and work hard to become a hero just to be remembered (rather) work hard because it is the right thing to do,” matud ni Rama.

Ang maong okasyon, nga gipangulohan sa Siyudad sa Sugbo ug gitambongan sa mga opisyales ug representante sa Cebu City Police Office; Central Command; Philippine Coast Guard; Department of Education - Cebu City Division; Knights of Columbus; Boys Scouts of University of San Jose - Recoletos Unit ug uban pa.

Si Rama nagkanayon nga wala sa uniporme o sa bisan unsang kasangkapan ang pag-ila sa usa ka matarong nga tawo kondili mao ang pagpakita niini pinaagi sa kinasing-kasing nga pag-alagad sa katawhan, sa pagmahal sa nasud ug pagbarog sa nasyonalismo.

Matud pa niya, ang mga bayani mao ang mga tawo nga mibarog sa ilahang tinuhoan ug panglantaw alang sa nasud.

 “If you believe in my thrust in good governance, it is guaranteed that as soon as I get reelected and we get the majority (bloc in the city council) everything will never be on our pockets but all on the benefit of the Cebuanos,” matud ni Rama. Misaad si Rama nga sila ni  Bise Mayor Edgar Labella ug ang ginsakopan sa Konseho makasalig nga makigbisog alang sa pagpatigbabaw sa “rule of law.”

Sa usa ka press conference human sa program, si Rama mipasabot nga siya mopadayon sa pakigbisog hangtod nga matuki na ang kontrobersyal nga Supplemental Budget-1 nga nag-ungot pa karon sa konseho.

“When you are a fighter, you will always be around to stand in what you believe is the right thing… I have always been thinking I will never stop because I am on the right stand. I am on the right position,” dayag ni Rama ngadto sa media.

Si Rama dili na gusto makigtigi human mipadayag si Konsehal Margarita Osmeña, majority floor leader sa konseho, nga dili gihapon ma-“lift” ang pagsuspende sa deliberasyon sa maong budget ordinance.

“I don’t want to argue, their disposition for me is undeserving of any comment,” palabtik pa sa mayor. (BANAT NEWS)
