Provincial Senior Citizens Council gimugna

CEBU, Philippines - Gipangamahanan nila ni Provincial Board Member Raul D. Alcoseba ug Alex S. Binghay, ug giuyonan ni Governor  Hilario P. Davide III, gimugna ang Cebu Provincial Senior Citizens Council (CPSCC) nga maoy molantaw ug mopahigayon sa mga laraw ug kalihokan sa mga senior citizens sa lalawigan sa Sugbo. The CPSCC, shall formulate policies and adopt measures mutually beneficial to the elderly and to the community, and provide incentives for non-governmental agencies and entities.

Ang composition gilangkoban ning mosunod: Provincial Governor - Chairman;  SP Chair of the Committee on Senior Citizens Affairs - Deputy Chairman;  ug mga members: SP Chairman of the Committee on Social Services, President of the Provincial Federation of Senior Citizens , DILG Provincial Director, PSWDO  Provincial Head, ug duha ka tinugyanan gikan sa accredited nga senior citizens associations. 

Ang mga sakop sa CPSCC itudlo sa gobernador for a term of one year, magtagbo kausa matag bulan. Itudlo usab ang usa ka Executive Director ug Secretary nga mga empleyado ra usab sa provincial government.  Ang PSWDO maoy Secretariat, inabagan sa buhatan sa Committee on Senior Citizens Affairs. 

Pagpatuman sa tumong ug katuyoan sa Council, gisangunan kini ning  mosunod nga mga kaakohan responsibilidad:

1)  Monitor plans and projects of the senior citizens, and their activities at the senior citizens centers, and recommend to the SP, measures for the implementation of  programs beneficial to the elderly;

2) Coordinate with both the government and private sectors to be able to harmonize and synchronize programs and resources directed to the welfare of the elderly; and for the adoption of measures protecting the rights & privileges of the elderly;

3) Encourage elderly participation and involvement in community undertakings, and in government-initiated programs;

4)  Establish accessible venues for senior citizens  to air their complaints and grievances, and for the prompt delivery of basic services;

5) Promulgate implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for the full implementation of  the Ordinance.

At least, niining panahon sa Davide administration, gihatagan og igong pagtagad ang concerns sa senior citizens sa lalawigan. Atong pasalamat kang Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, ug sa hunta probinsiyal, specifically kanila ni BM Alcoseba ug Binghay for sponsoring the Ordinance.

Si Gobernador Davide naglaraw kun unsa nga assistance ang ikahatag sa provincial government ngadto sa mga senior citizens sa lalawigan.

Kahinumdom ko nga ang provincial government sa Bulacan mipasar og resolusyon nga nag-awhag sa mga municipal government sa Bulacan paggahin og one percent sa ilang budget alang sa mga activities sa senior citizens.
