Cong. Tonying Bacaltos pasidunggan

CEBU, Philippines - Gitugyan una ngadto sa Committee on Laws ug Social Services ang gidusong resolusyon ni Konsehal Eduardo Gullas III nga mao ang kabahin sa paghatag og pasidungog ni kanhi Kongresista Antonio “Tonying” T. Bacaltos Sr.

Ang batan-ong Gullas misugyot sa paghatag og pasidungog kang Bacaltos diin ang ngalan niini maoy ihingalan sa mga karsada sa barangay Lawaan I, II, barangay Mohon ug Pooc.

 Si Bacaltos usa kanhi ka Constitutional Convention Delegate sa 1971 ngadto sa 1972 ug napili nga Kongresista sa 1981 ngadto sa 1992 sa unang distrito sa Sugbo.

“The City of Talisay will acknowledge the famous well-known and prominent Talisaynon who left a legacy of noble public service, hail from barangay San Isidro, City of Talisay, Cebu is one of the Talisaynon ought to be remembered and honored”, tipik sa resolusyon ni Gullas.

Si Bacaltos nagserbisyo usab isip bise mayor sa kanhi lungsod sa Talisay niadtong 1960 hangtud 1963.

Nagserbisyo usab siya isip Constitutional Convention Delegate nga nagpresentar sa ikatulong distrito sa Sugbo ug nahimong Vice Chairman sa Committee on Judicial Power gikan sa tuig 1971 hangtud 1972. “Talisaynon were proud to have a voice in 8th Congress through the advocacy of Honorable Congressman Antonio T. Bacaltos Sr. or Representative elect of the First District of Cebu from 1987 to 1992”, laing tipik sa resolusyon ni Gullas.

Gawas niini si Bacaltos usa usab ka beteranong sundalo niadtong World War II.
