UV nahataga'g COD certification sa CHED

CEBU, Philippines - Makunsiderar nga nagsubay sa ‘global standards’ ang Business Administration programs sa University of the Visayas human mahatagi og sertipikasyon sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED) isip Center of Development (COD).

Si Dr. Jose “Dodong” Gullas, UV Executive Vice President nagkanayon nga ang nahisgutang sertipikasyon nakapaaghat sa mga tinun-an nga mo-excel sa ilang fields.

Gawas sa COD certification ang CHED mipasidungog usab sa UV sa Autonomous Status niadtong Hulyo 15, 2010.

Ang Autonomous Status nga gilagdaan ni Emmanuel Y. Angeles, chairman sa CHED molungtad kini hangtud sa Hulyo 14, 2013. Ang maong pasidungog gihatag sa CHED ngadto sa UV tungod sa “continuing exemplary performance in the triology of functions of higher education” diha sa field sa instruction, research ug public service ug ang paghatag niini og pasidungog sa mga maayong performance sa ilang mga graduates. Kini gihulagway nga ang UV nagpakita og genuine commitment sa kalidad, excellence ug global competitiveness.

Tungod sa maong status nag-exempt sa maong unibersidad gikan sa pag-isyu og Special Order alang sa mga graduates ug regular monitoring ug evaluation sa CHED.

Ang Autonomous Status usa ka prebilihiyo sa unibersidad nga maoy magbuot pagpili kun unsang curricular programs nga sa ilang pagtimbang-timbang ang itudlo aron mahimong globally competitive ang ilang mga estudyante. Mahimo na usab magbuot ang UV pag-offer og mga bag-ong kurso alang sa graduates ug undergraduates nga wala na magkinahanglan pa og permiso gikan sa CHED.

Atol sa ulahing Nursing Licensure Exams, ang estudyante sa UV nga si Marie Katrina Torralba Tojong ang nahimong 8th placer.

Samtang nunot niining Centennial celebration sa Don Vicente Gullas Memorial Hospital, si Dr. Gullas mohatag og 50 porsiyentong discount sa tanang serbisyo gawas lang sa doctor’s fees ug pharmacy services ngadto sa tanan sugod sa Enero 12, 2011 nga mao ang birthday sa founder nga si Don Vicente Gullas.
