Peace negotiator bagong pinuno ng PhilHealth

MANILA, Philippines – Itinalaga ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III ang isang chief government peace negotiator para sa National Democratic Front-Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army bilang bagong pinuno ng Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).

Ayon kay Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, napili ni Aquino si Alexander Padilla bilang bagong miyembro ng board of directors ng PhilHealth at inaprubahan ang kanyang nominasyon bilang susunod na pangulo at chief executive officer ng ahensya.

Kukunin ni Padilla, na dating undersecretary ng Department of Health (DOH) mula Mayo 2003 hanggang November 2010, ang nabakanteng puwesto ni Eduardo Banzon na nagbitiw noong Enero.

Sinabi ni Valte na “competent” si Padilla na pangunahan ang Philhealth base na rin sa naging performance niya sa DOH.

"Undersecretary Padilla is originally from the DOH and he’s only been seconded to the panel," ani Valte.

 "With the appointment, there should be no problem in how he (Padilla) manages to juggle his tasks. His record in the past will show that he has been able to do multiple tasks in different areas," dagdag ng tagapagsalita.
