Cristina Chi

Cristina Chi has been a reporter for Philstar.com since January 2023. She mainly covers education, geopolitics, defense and the Office of the Vice President, but also pens special reports on social justice issues above beats. Chi leads the news organization's coverage of influence operations and the broader mal/disinformation landscape. 

In 2023, Chi became one of the youngest Filipino journalists to be selected as a panelist in the Jaime V. Ongpin seminar — a distinction earned within months of joining the profession. Her work has also been recognized by Covering Climate Now and the International Labor Organization’s global awards for labor migration reporting.

Chi graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of the Philippines Diliman in January 2023.
