MANILA, Philippines — Micah See takes charge of her life with confidence and a sense of adventure. It is her appreciation for life’s blessings that fuels her desire to push beyond her comfort zone and conquer the world in style.

Micah knows she can accomplish anything she sets her mind on as long as she listens to her heart and finds her center. This mindset, together with a positive disposition, helps this 26-year-old fulfill her role as a cabin crew member of Philippine Airlines.

Now on her fourth year on the job, Micah says it has brought out the best in her, the version of herself that she has not seen before. “I learned from this job not to be scared to try new things and enjoy life as it is. Before, I didn’t try new things and I didn’t even want to travel. But when I became a flight attendant, I became adventurous, like exploring a city I’m not familiar with,” she shares.

Micah tackles every day with an open mind and a wider perspective on things. For her, her everyday interactions with people from different countries and cultures are precious learning opportunities. “The best part of my job is meeting a lot of people and experiencing different cultures. And also, sometimes, passengers, especially Filipinos, become family away from home. That is always a good feeling.”

Micah, a graduate of Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, says that while the job is very fulfilling, it is inevitable that she encounters difficult situations during a flight. “Having a positive disposition is important in my job as a flight attendant. We encounter different kinds of people and we have to immediately adjust and cope with the situation. In this job, you need to master the art of letting go of your anger and grudges,” she says.

It is also important for Micah to make time for her family because they are her source of happiness and sanity. Her faith is important to her, too, so whenever she is home on Sundays, she makes it a point to go to church. Her daily prayers also get her through her daily tasks.

Being a cabin crew member also entails a lot of physical demands; especially for Micah, who is always assigned to long-haul flights. So, she makes sure that she works out whenever she can. She also watches what she eats, which sometimes could be a challenge, given that she loves to try different cuisines. “I do indulge from time to time. But I make sure that when I get back to Manila, I watch my diet and exercise more. It’s also very important that I get enough sleep during my days off to recover as long-haul flights could take a toll on one’s body,” she shares.

In her line of work, Micah is required to look impeccable. “I believe, as flight attendants, we have to be presentable at all times because we represent the brand, not only at work but also in our day-to-day lives.”

For her work look, Micah, who does her own makeup, uses basic items: concealer, lipstick, blush and eyebrow pencil or gel. As her days are hectic, she needs a makeup routine that is quick, easy and hassle-free.

Red lipstick, like the EB Matte Lipstick in Glam Red, is important for Micah as it gives a pop of color on her basic look. This creamy matte lipstick in bold crimson hue is infused with Vitamin E that makes the lips stay soft as one wears the product.

Perfectly arched brows are also a must for Micah because they frame the face beautifully when done right. With Ever Original Pencil in Brown, having those perfect arches is almost always achievable because this bestseller is virtually fool-proof when applied. Its reliable and buildable brown shade softly defines brows, perfect for people on the go like Micah.

For quick touch-ups, it is best for Micah to rely on a product that efficiently does the job. Like the EB Face Powder in Warm Beige. This face powder gives a matte finish to the skin without leaving it dry, thanks to its Vitamin E content.

For her everyday look, Micah follows a makeup mantra: less is more. “Natural and fresh look is better,” she says. For this shoot, she used Kris Life Kit (Tinted Lip Gloss) to highlight her lips. This pinkish-peach lip gloss adds shine, hint of color, and moisture on the lips. This can be used alone or on top of any lipstick to further add impact.

Micah is set to see the world more as she appreciates life today and looks forward to a tomorrow full of promise.
