Sweet Seduction: Georgina Wilson as Brigitte Bardot
It’s 10 a.m. and it’s hot. But even without much sleep, model/celebrity Georgina Wilson still looks as radiant and youthful as the morning sun.
“I like using facial wipes to remove makeup. After every shoot, I use Olay Facial Wash to keep my face clean. My beauty regimen really depends on the climate. When it’s humid, I would use facial moisturizer because my skin becomes dry. Plus, I only eat healthy food,” she says.
“Honestly, I am not very good yet with taking care of my skin. Maybe that’s why Olay Total Effects is perfect for me, because it has everything my skin needs, especially because I wear a lot of makeup all the time.”
These days, however, it’s not just the moisturizer, facial wipes and facial wash that keep Georgina stunningly beautiful. It’s her accomplishments and strong relationship with her family that keep Georgina glowing inside and out.
“I feel beautiful when I surround myself with the people I love. I also feel beautiful when I am ecstatically happy. When I am laughing so hard, I feel light and I love it,” reveals Georgina, who’s currently finishing a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Sydney.
“I am always proud of my academic achievements because I know they didn’t come from anyone else but me. I can say that I am in the stage in my life where I feel like I can accomplish anything I want.”
Like the proverbial little girl who brings her own sunshine with her, Georgina is particularly proud that a prestigious skincare company like Olay would choose her as an endorser. She says it’s something that she has been dreaming of since the day she started modeling.
“When I was younger, I would see those beautiful women in Olay commercials on TV. I told myself that one day, I would become an endorser, too. I am very happy and proud of this project,” she relates.
Maturity, indeed, has done something good to Georgina’s outlook in life. If before she would feel insecure (yes readers, the fair-skinned beauty has insecurities) and wish to have certain parts of her body changed, Georgina has learned to embrace her “flaws” and see them as her “strengths”, if not her “assets.”
“Yes. Like any normal individual, I also have insecurities. But as you grow older, you learn to appreciate what you have. Only then you would start feeling beautiful. You start feeling beautiful when you begin seeing your ‘flaws’ as your ‘strengths’,” she shares.
“Growing up, I used to be so insecure about how tall I was. I felt so out of place. But when I started modeling, people would come up to me and tell me how lucky I was to be this tall.”
There are a million things that keep the niece of beauty queen Gloria Diaz busy these days. But it’s spending time with her family she enjoys most.
“I consider my family beautiful. A lot of people would tell me that I’ve got a beautiful family. But I believe they are more beautiful if you see them the way I do,” she says proudly.
Admittedly, Georgina Wilson doesn’t have much of an idea who Brigitte Bardot was. All Georgina knows about the French actress, whose fame could rival that of Marilyn Monroe’s, is that she was a foremost symbol of sexuality in the film industry during the ’50s and ’60s.
“I can’t say I am a sex goddess like her because I am always demure and shy,” she sheepishly admits. If there’s any similarity at all, perhaps it’s that they both have the desire to succeed and live the life they’ve always wanted.
Film critic Ivon Addams, smitten by the beauty of Bardot, once wrote, “She is every man’s idea of the girl he’d like to meet in Paris.”
Those words were more than five decades ago, but they seem to be the perfect description for Georgina Wilson — the girl that any man would love to meet and take to a romantic dinner, anywhere in the world.
