Flush

We are bombarded by toxins in our world today. It’s so bad (just see the air pollution, and that which we don’t see, the food pollution, too...) that unless we become more vigilant and aware of the trend, we will find ourselves sick and unhealthy.
Many times daily, we flush the toilet after use, releasing to the sewers all the grime and waste of our physical body. This is something we also have to consciously do to our bodies  from the mental (stop worrying too much and overanalyzing), emotional (detach and step back from the wild emotions that overpower you) and of course, the physical body. The approach to health should always be holistic, in a manner that brings together body, mind, heart and spirit. The physical body needs a constant watch. On the other part of the spectrum that looks to beautification techniques for weight reduction, there is the natural approach of fasting to lose weight. A simple fast means just to stop eating for a day or so, and instead, take only fresh fruit and vegetable juices or soups, or even water with lime. The objective is to allow the body to detoxify and release the impurities caused by improper diet. Too much toxins buildup can disrupt the body’s pH balance, lowers the immune system therefore increases the chances of disease to set in.
Cleansing the physical body has a lot of benefits. It helps reduce back pains, improves digestion, increases vitality and energy, restores digestive functions and helps the overall condition of the bodily functions just to name a few.
In 2000, I did a juice fast for seven days, shedding off almost 14 pounds in the process. I had vowed then to do a fast every year because of how great and healthy I felt after that experience. Of course, with my struggle for willpower when it comes to food, I never did it again. Until this year that is, when I decided to join friends for a weekend to do a detox specific to flushing the gallstones from the body. My designer friend Jeannie Goulbourn, carrying the banner for holistic health and healing after her remarkable recovery from illness where she weaned herself away from antibiotics, invited me to join a Detox Flush at the Discovery Suites. She promised a pain-free weekend and a way to eliminate years of unprocessed fats particularly gallstones caused from bad cholesterol. It was a non-invasive procedure and required just five natural, organic drinks. Working with Dale Flores, a holistic nutritionist, following the protocol of Dr. Cristine Gonzales of the Wellness Institute, the detox process was truly fun, painless and wonderfully rejuvenating. The experience was great to say the least. Just a feeling of light-headedness (because of the fast) came over me and the elimination of gallstones, looking like green cholesterol pea pods were the harvest of the weekend. Everyone who did the flush harvested something... especially for many of us who eat fried, greasy foods which includes pork fat, butter, beef, fried chicken, french fries etc. To top it all, everyone lost a minimum of three pounds!
There are many ways of cleaning and detoxifying the body. Gallstone flush is only one of them, specifically focused on that body organ. There are kidney and colon flushes, too. The objective of all this is to just clean up and revitalize health and living. Flush today!
(They are doing the detox gallstone flush again on April 14, Saturday at the Discovery Suites. For more information, call Dale or Angie at 0917-8802118 or 631-7794 and Joyce at 0917-8236738 or 843-2550.)
