Lady Bulldogs notch 2nd win
MANILA, Philippines — Back-to-back champion National U clobbered Emilio Aguinaldo College, 25-15, 25-7, 25-13, for its second straight win in the Shakey’s Super League Collegiate Pre-Season Championship yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Arah Panique took over with 10 points while the dazzling duo of two-time UAAP MVP Bella Belen and two-time SSL MVP Alyssa Solomon added seven points each in the Lady Bulldogs’ easy win in 77 minutes.
The Lady Bulldogs gained a share of the lead in Pool A with idle Arellano (2-0), shoring up their drive for a quarterfinal stint that would put them closer to a three-peat bid.
“Ang challenge ngayon is marami pa kaming errors and siguro work on sa mga kulang pa namin and kailangan pang i-improve,” said Panique, a member of Alas Pilipinas.
