RP's 'most nature-inspired' hotel takes shape in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines’ most nature-inspired hotel has taken shape, but not in a remote countryside where most people think they can only expect to enjoy the natural environment at source.

Instead, this hotel that immerses guests in nature’s calming ambience is situated right in the heart of the city. And of all cities, it is in Manila and inside the world-renowned Rizal Park facing the Manila Bay.

This hotel, aptly named H2O or water, forms part of the now famous Manila Ocean Park where it sits right on top of the Oceanarium hugged by Rizal Park’s greenery and bathed by the dancing ocean waters of the bay and the golden rays of its beautiful sunset.

Such unique features enable guests to capture the splendor of nature in the comforts of their rooms and suites — whether deluxe, premiere or executive suites, or Parkview, Bayview, Aquarium, Aqua Supreme, or Club Bay and Club Aqua rooms.

Parkview has floor-to-ceiling windows providing stunning views from a modern 25-square meter room made of wood and stone and has a work area, high-speed Internet, choice of queen or twin beds with cotton linens, 37-inch LCD TV, and designer toiletries.

The 26- to 29-sqm Bayview Room makes one feel like basking by the bay with all the conveniences of a queen-size or twin beds, marble bath, and a spacious work area with high-speed Internet access, plush bathrobes, and daily supply of newspaper.

On the other hand, the Aquarium Room seemingly plunges guests in a marine world as it features aquarium walls housing a myriad of aquatic species and includes a 37-inch LCD TV, queen-size bed with cotton linens, marble bath and plush amenities.

A notch further is the 42-sqm Aqua Supreme Room with bathtub, workstation, wireless high-speed Internet access, and a queen-size bed. Yet, even more luxurious is the Club Aqua Room, which also gives guests a complete access to the hotel’s club lounge while engulfing them in the marvelous beauty of marine life.

Likewise, the 34-sqm Club Bay Room provides guests an equally spectacular view, but this time, of the Manila Bay and its glorious sunset, plus a Jacuzzi with rainshower and full access to the Club H2O Lounge.

The suites — deluxe, premiere and executive — are thus more elegant with unique features that are better experienced than told, both in fantastic views and luxurious interiors, including amenities and services.

With its location in the heart of both historic and modern Manila, the hotel puts guests within a few minutes from all tourism facilities and activities one can think of, especially with all the various transportation modes available. The hotel is just a 30-minute drive from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and 15 to 20 minutes from the Makati financial district. Nonetheless, the hotel offers limousine service and has ample parking space for cars.

The hotel also has its own fitness center and spa, meeting rooms, and a so-called Makansutra Asian Food Village offering a sumptuous array of dining and wining options. Hotel services include banquet facilities, concierge, transportation, laundry, and valet.

The areas for special events have been named in Filipino to refer to the different bodies of water such as Laot with four aquariums, Buhay na Karagatan with a tunnel passing through divided waters and beneath the stingrays, corals and other marine life, and Batis with an aquarium full of black tip sharks.
