Kobe Paras formally introduced by CalState Northridge
MANILA, Philippines — California State University, Northridge (CSUN) has made it official.
Kobe Paras is now a Matador after being introduced as a member of the school’s men’s basketball team, early Thursday in Manila.
“This is a very exciting day for me. I want to share the expansion of our CSUN family—this is a family that is focused on building a legacy, and that starts off with a young, exciting hooping recruits … and of course, Kobe Paras,” said CSUN head coach Reggie Theus.
Paras, who was accompanied in the event by his father Benjie, will be serving a one-year residency before actually seeing action with the Matadors.
The 6-foor-6 shooting guard parted ways with Creighton University—where he saw limited minutes—last April. The Bluejays were quickly eliminated in the NCAA tournament last March.
