MANILA, Philippines - After hosting sports meets of national magnitude like the regional eliminations of the Batang Pinoy, Philippine National Games and the Unity Games, Laguna is bidding to host the 2014 Palarong Pambansa.

Laguna Gov. Jeorge “E.R.” Ejrecito Estregan has instructed the provincial sports and games development office to spruce up the Laguna Sports Complex facilities to prop up its bid to stage the Palaro next year.

PSGDO head Albert Abarquez said in the SCOOP Sa Kamayan that construction of a new grandstand in the main track and field and football stadium has already been started.
