The newest ‘attraction’ in Malabon

Formally starting the significant event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by top company executives including RLC president and COO Frederick Go, senior vice president and business unit general manager for commercial centers division Arlene Magtibay and Robinsons Retail Group president and COO Robina Gokongwei-Pe as well as Malabon City Mayor Antolin Oreta III.

Race to the finish
Doing its share in promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports is the premier five-star hotel The Bellevue Resort, owned and managed by The Bellevue Hotels and Resorts (BH&R), as it recently sponsored the Defy 123 Triathlon held at the picturesque Panglao Island in Bohol. The BH&R is under the leadership of chairman Johnny Chan, managing director Patrick Chan, marketing and communications corporate director Ryan Chan and deputy general manager Dustin Chan.
Local and foreign triathletes joined the team and individual competitions as they completed a one-kilometer swim at the mesmerizing beachfront of The Bellevue Resort, a 110-kilometer bike around the towns of Panglao, Baclayon, Dauis and Tagbilaran and a 12-kilometer run around the beautiful Doljo Point. Meanwhile, the hotel’s breathtaking beachfront was the chosen venue for the awarding ceremony, which was attended by the participants as well as the men behind the successful race including Bohol Gov. Edgar Chatto, Defy 123 Triathlon organization committee members Anthony Kierulf, Jerry Santos, Teddy Tong and race director coach Rene “Guy†Concepcion.
With the success of the first-ever Defy 123 Triathlon, The Bellevue Resort will gather once again the cream of the crop in the world of triathlon as it sponsors Defy Triathlon 2014, happening on May 25. The said race aims to attract more local and foreign triathletes as proceeds of the said event will be donated to the Bikes for the Philippines Foundation in Bohol.

Wicked: The year’s most enthralling journey
