MANILA, Philippines — Mayor Herbert Bautista has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels in Quezon City on Monday, July 23, in light of President Rodrigo Duterte's third State of the Nation Address.

Quezon City's Public Information Office made the announcement on Thursday evening in a post on Twitter.

Duterte's SONA will be held at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.

More than 6,000 anti-riot policemen would be deployed to secure the president's SONA.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Guillermo Eleazar said the police would undergo a seminar on human rights so they could know how to properly handle militant protesters.

Duterte, who is known for giving longwinded and freewheeling speeches, will be sticking to his prepared speech that will last for 35 minutes for his third SONA, according to the Palace.
