3 held for insulting cop in QC
MANILA, Philippines — Three drunk men were arrested for allegedly hurling insults at a policeman in Quezon City on Tuesday.
Reynaldo Brillante, 28; Richard Brillante, 25, and Mark Estevan, 32, were charged with unjust vexation, violation of a city ordinance on drinking in a public place and resistance and disobedience to agents or persons in authority.
Superintendent Tomas Nunez, Galas police station commander, said the policeman, identified only as Christopher Sac, 29, was driving home from work when he encountered the suspects in Barangay Sto. Nino at around 10:10 p.m.
One of the suspects suddenly crossed the street, which prompted Sac to step on the brakes and blow the horn.
Two other men who were visibly drunk also appeared. The trio then approached Sac, who was inside his vehicle, and hurled insults at him and threw stones at his car.
