PDEA nab high-value targets in South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in South Cotabato caught two high-value targets in separate entrapments Monday.
 
The suspects, Bryan Carl Apaitan Sabagay and Nory Hidalgo Cabucan, were nabbed one after another following two weeks of surveillance by agents of PDEA-12 and the Koronadal City police. 
 
They are both among the agency's top 20 most wanted drug dealers in Koronadal City, the administrative center of Region 12.
 
Valente Cariño, PDEA's director for Region 12, said Tuesday he is grateful to local officials for helping them locate the duo, engaged in large-scale distribution of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) in different barangays in the city.
 
Cariño said Sabagay and Cabucan will be charged with violation of the Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act.
