Bomb scare hits Bulacan court
MALOLOS, Philippines – Hearings at the Bulacan Regional Trial Court (RTC) were suspended yesterday morning due to a bomb threat.
Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr., Bulacan police acting director, said their tactical operation center received a phone call at around 7:15 a.m. saying four bombs were planted in the three buildings of the RTC.
Caramat said operatives of the Special Weapon and Tactics and bomb squad unit from the Bulacan and Malolos police were dispatched to check the buildings.
The court premises were declared safe and a security sweep yielded negative results. The court hearings resumed before 10 a.m.
