Trader, 3 others seized in Sulu

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Armed men clad in fatigue uniforms seized a businessman and three others in an island municipality in Sulu Tuesday night, authorities said.

Hours of police and military pursuit operations led to the recovery of Abswan Hawan and Nal Joe in Barangay Tagbak, Indanan town.

Still being held captive are Saladin Teo, who operates various shops and a pharmacy in Siasi town, and Qurliang Ngo, said Col. Jose Joriel Cenabre, commander of the 2nd Marine Brigade and Task Force Sulu.

Cenabre said the four victims were seized at gunpoint by 20 men at Teo’s house in Barangay North Laud, Siasi town.
