Unidentified men torch Abra town mayor's backhoe

LA Trinidad, Benguet - A backhoe owned by the construction firm of Mayor-elect Dominic Valera of Bangued town in Abra was torched by unidentified men in Baay-Licuan town.

The Cordillera police said the project implementor of the construction firm identified as 44-year-old Vicki Dawigen Sabian reported the incident to the police on Sunday morning.

The equipment worth P6,000,000.00 was parked along the Abra-Kalinga road particularly at Km 473 sitio Nagpawayan, Baay-Licuan, Abra when it was torched.

The police have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
