Widower, 2 others slain in Batangas

The Philippine Star

BATANGAS, Philippines – A widower and his two employees were reportedly stabbed dead by his driver in Ibaan town, Sunday night, police said yesterday.

The fatalities were identified as Armando Caringal, 82, and his employees Vincent Salibio, 20, and Cesline Macatangay, 21, all of Barangay Poblacion, Ibaan.

Senior Inspector Jose Naparato Jr., Ibaan police chief, said Caringal’s driver, Neil Ashley Diama, was arrested hours after the killing while the suspect’s alleged accomplice, Angelito Panganiban, escaped.

Naparato said prior to the killing, Diama accused Salibio of maligning him before their employers, which led to an argument.

Hours after the argument, Diama and Panganiban returned to Caringal’s house in Barangay Poblacion and reportedly stabbed Salibio repeatedly before turning his ire on Caringal and Macatangay who tried to stop him.
