Isuzu PH introduces 2015 Crosswind

Manny N. de los Reyes - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has introduced the 2015 edition of its evergreen Crosswind multi-purpose vehicle.

Unveiled last week at One Esplanade in Pasay City, the 2015 Crosswind—the undisputed vehicle of choice of overseas foreign workers (OFWs)—is now available in five variants, either in manual or automatic transmission.

“Form and functionality is what the 2015 Isuzu Crosswind is all about. Given that the Crosswind model is proven capable to stylishly carry not just members of the family but also serve as a reliable cargo carrier for the enterprising few,” said IPC president Nobuo Izumina. “But Isuzu believes in continuously improving its products, so we have decided to give it an upgrade, keep it up to the existing market trends to make our customers’ everyday drive more special,” he added.

The 2015 Isuzu Crosswind also marks the comeback of the popular XUV variant which comes with an automatic transmission ideal for gridlocked city-dwelling families. The new model also comes with a revised front fascia; a combination of new silver grille and one-piece color-keyed front bumper. Also freshening up the front end is a new headlamp design—a multi-reflector halogen type coupled with all-weather fog lamps available in the Sportivo X variant.

There are also new 15” multi-spoke silver alloy wheels wrapped with all-terrain tires. Sportivo X and XUV variants also come with an aluminum black side step board, facilitating access to its spacious cabin. Roof rails are available for Sportivo X, XUV and XT variants for easy cargo loading as well as a new black tire cover for the XUV variant.

And with any family vehicle comes an array of entertainment features like the DVD/CD/MP3/WMA/JPG-compatible head unit with USB function that is also connected to its spoiler-integrated reverse camera, which is one of the safety features of the vehicle together with side impact beams, reverse sensor and alarm system (available on Sportivo X variants).

Underneath the 2015 Isuzu Crosswind is a proven suspension system—double wishbones with torsion bar springs in front and “flex ride” semi-elliptical leaf springs in the rear.

Isuzu introduces two new colors: Hunter Green and Dark Silver along with the existing colors Cosmic Black, Garnet Red, Ash Beige and Splash White. The top-of-the-line 2015 Crosswind Sportivo X A/T is priced at P1,195,000; Sportivo X M/T at P1,130,000; Crosswind XUV A/T at P1,010,000; Crosswind XT M/T at P883,000; Crosswind XL M/T at P794,000; and the entry-level Crosswind XS M/T at P750,000.
