Mitsubishi celebrates 100,000th Adventure production, sales milestones

MANILA, Philippines - Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has announced that the Mitsubishi Adventure, a locally manufactured utility vehicle and one of the pioneers of the Asian utility vehicle segment, achieved both 100,000-unit production and sales milestones. These milestones are truly remarkable achievements in the local automotive industry.

MMPC started to produce the Mitsubishi Adventure in October 1997. The Adventure was then introduced to the market in January 1998 and instantly gained market acceptance. And with full-year sales from its introduction, MMPC was able to top overall industry sales in 1998. Total Adventure volume sold from January 1998 until April 2014 is now at 100,300 units.

The Mitsubishi Adventure was designed to respond to the needs of Filipino families. MMPC developed this model to be an ideal vehicle for the Filipino family given its size, features, affordable price, and low running cost. Throughout the years, continuous improvement and added features were undertaken in MMPC’s desire to exceed customer’s expectations. To date, the Adventure remains to be a significant model in MMPC’s product line-up and as well as in the Philippine market. In fact, the Adventure has been a consistent top 10 bestselling model in the Light Commercial Vehicle category. With its vaunted versatility, the Adventure has been the choice of small to medium enterprises and has proven its reliability that considerably made it a business workhorse. 

The celebration of the Adventure’s 100,000-unit milestone is also equally important for the total automotive manufacturing industry as well.  The sustained strong demand for the Adventure is substantially contributing to the employment in the country through its direct and indirect workers. The local parts content of the Adventure is one of the highest in the industry at 47 percent. This means that the existence of this model does not only benefit the company but also extends to local parts suppliers.

As a way of thanking its valued customers for their continued patronage on the Adventure, MMPC has also announced an attractive offer for all brand new Adventure buyers. From May up to June 2014, MMPC and its dealers will provide as much as P100,000 savings on the Adventure (GLX model). Aside from the significant discounts, all customers who purchase a brand new Adventure will receive a limited edition windshield sun shade and also will automatically qualify in the raffle for a chance to win P100,000 cash. Ten lucky Adventure customers will win in the raffle.
