Girl rescued from Manila sex den

MANILA, Philippines - A girl was rescued by police officers and social workers from a motel room in Sta. Cruz, Manila Thursday afternoon.

The motel room was allegedly rented by Misa Datuindal and Sunor Macalangcong and used as a prostitution den.

According to officials of Manila’s social welfare department, the girl and her aunt were being sold to customers until the aunt was able to escape and tell their family, who filed a complaint with the city government.

Datuindal was arrested but her partner escaped. She denied that they were pimps, saying they only helped the woman and her niece because they had nowhere to go.
