Bomb found in Arroyo's ancestral home in Iligan?
Vice President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo decided to cut short her trip to Mindanao yesterday after receiving reports that a bomb was found inside the compound of her family's ancestral home in Iligan City.
"The military is still verifying it now," she said in her radio program over dzMM.
Arroyo was supposed to stay in Mindanao for the weekend but she decided instead to attend the Cabinet meeting at Malacañang yesterday afternoon.
"Kung totoo man yun, mabait ang Diyos sa akin (If that's true, then God is good to me). I'm thankful because I have to attend the Cabinet meeting this afternoon," she said.
On Thursday morning, Arroyo's media relations staff said she was scheduled to hold talks with Mindanao leaders in Iligan City and would be there for the night.
But her plans changed by Thursday noon. With her new schedule, she held the meetings in Cagayan de Oro City, after which she returned to Manila for the Cabinet meeting.
