Pacquiao vs Thurman o Garcia

MANILA, Philippines - Matapos magkaroon ng problema kay Amir Khan ay inaasahang hindi ito mararanasan ni Manny Pacquiao sakaling hamunin ang sinuman kina WBC/WBA welterweight titlist Keith Thurman at dating world champion Danny Garcia.

Nagharap sina Thurman at Garcia para sa welterweight title unification kung saan nanalo ang una via split decision victory.

Dahil sa pagkakabasura ng laban kay Khan ay maaaring labanan ni Pacquiao si Thurman (28-0-0, 22 KOs) na humahawak sa WBC at WBA welterweight belts.

Bitbit naman ni Pacquiao ang WBO version ng nasabing korona ni Thurman.

Sinabi ni trainer Freddie Roach na pinanood niya ang naturang laban nina Thurman at Garcia noong Marso 4 at nagustuhan niya ang kanyang nakita.

“Not the greatest fight I ever saw but I mean it was a little bit competitive,” wika ni Roach, chief trainer ni Pacquiao, sa panayam ni Steve Kim ng boxingscene.com.

“I thought Thurman won the early rounds and then gave some of the late rounds to Garcia and it made it a pretty close fight. But overall I thought Thurman did win the fight. And you know it looks like maybe two future opponents for Manny Pacquiao,” dagdag pa ng multi-titled cornerman.

Ayon pa kay Roach, sinuman kina Thurman at Garcia ay kayang talunin ni Pacquiao.

“Well, Thurman’s a bigger boxer. At first he started out as a puncher and he went to more of his boxing technique and Manny’s much faster and much better boxer than he is. I think it’s an easy fight,” wika ni Roach.
