Duterte talks about De Lima's alleged love life anew

MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday took a swipe at Sen. Leila De Lima anew saying her alleged relationships led her to commit several serious violations of the law.

“What is really sad for this country, here is a woman, posturing herself to be a crusader for good government but because hindi niya mapigilan ang immorality niya…Sabagay to the credit of De Lima, she is legally annulled, kagaya ko rin sa asawa ko. Pareho kaming dalawa e, annulled,”  Duterte said in a press conference held at the Rizal Hall in Camp Geronimo Cabrera, Taytay, Rizal.

The president was at the police camp for the wake of Inspector Mark Gil Garcia, who was slain in an anti-drug operation.

“Dalaga siya e, but her sex escapades led her to commit several serious violations of the  law,” he added. He did not specify the alleged violations.

In his speech, Duterte said the Commission on Human Rights is criticizing him because De Lima is also mad at him for uncovering her alleged violations.

“Pati kasi si De Lima galit, kasi nahuli ko siya. Lumabas na lahat pati yung kalokohan niya sa kama. Lahat,” Duterte said.

Duterte cited an alleged photo of De Lima in bed, which he said was not edited and was taken on purpose.

He said De Lima’s pitfall is her romantic relationships.

'De Lima has new boyfriend'

The president then alleged that De Lima has a new boyfriend named Warren, that, even if true, is a private matter.

“Ngayon may bago siya, the first name is Warren,” he said.

“Ang trabaho ni Warren, walang apelyido, ay nagmo-motor ahead, yung hagad na escort niya. MMDA,” the president added.

Duterte said he got the information from former Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino, who was the subject of criticism before the elections over an offensive dance number that he reportedly sponsored.

The president however clarified that Warren and De Lima have no involvement in drugs.

“Ah wala and even De Lima. I will be careless. She facilitated everything for money but De Lima was never into ‘sige magpabili ka ng ganun’ I would be lying if I do that and I would not be as honest as I’ll ever be with you because of her pitfalls (romantic relationship),” Duterte said.

Duterte said De Lima also never denied his claims about her supposed relationships.

On Tuesday, Duterte said he had proof of De Lima's involvement in drugs and that he would present the 'matrix' to show this soon.
