Duterte to kick out Satan if he goes to hell over extrajudicial killings

MANILA, Philippines — After saying that he is ready to face the United Nations, President Rodrigo Duterte now adds that he is not afraid even if he goes to hell in the afterlife as a consequence of the hundreds of killings that erupted after his all-out war against illegal drugs.
He recognized, however, that killing another person is not easy but justified it, saying it is his duty to protect the nation.
“It’s not easy to take human life, but I am sorry,” he told delegates of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) at Malacañan Palace on Wednesday evening.
“Pero kung mapunta ako ng impyerno, hindi ako magpa-lugi. Hindi naman talaga ako ‘yung — napasubo lang. Eh papuntahin mo ako impyerno, unang sipain ko Satanas. 'Umalis ka diyan. May bagong tigas dito.' (If I go to hell, I will not allow myself to be disadvantaged. I just got into this. If you send me to hell, I will first kick out Satan. I will tell him: 'Get out. I am the new tough guy here'),” Duterte said.
“Hindi balbakwa yung buntot mo,” he said referring to a Filipino exotic dish of overboiled cow or ox skin and tail stew.
Duterte made the statement as he told The Star editors and reporters that he is ready to face the United Nations amid the international outcry over his seeming tolerance on the killings of drug suspects by law enforcers.
Destroying the Filipino family
In the PPCRV event, Duterte also discussed the ill effects of illegal drugs which he said destroy the Filipino family. He cited as an example a case of a friend who sought his help while he was mayor of Davao City. He recalled how his friend sought his assistance when a drug addict son raped his elder sister at gunpoint.
In another incident, Duterte recalled how a drug addict took the 18-month-old baby of his sister only to kill the baby later on. The baby's body was found in a resettlement area in Mandug (Davao), he said.
The president lamented how the drug problem has reached all sectors of society from the poor ones to the affluent, including politicians’ families.
Duterte said he is determined to destroy the apparatus of illegal drugs in the country and downplayed criticism that law enforcers have not arrested big time drug lords after more than a month of intensified anti-drug operations nationwide.
“As long as the apparatus is there, pero kung wala ng mag-a-accept ng delivery, ‘yung basura wala ng runner. I am sorry. Wrong, it is fundamentally wrong. Is it the only way up to this time? Yes, I’m sorry. I cannot ano... Unless I can get hold of the entire gamut of the organized crime,” he said.
Duterte said the tentacles of drug cartels in Mexico and China have reached the Philippines as they use the country as a transshipment point.
