'Habagat' continues to bring rains on Saturday
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon or 'hanging habagat' will continue to prevail and bring rains over some parts of the country on Saturday.
In its advisory, the weather bureau said Zambales, Bataan, Palawan and Mindoro will be most affected by the habagat. Occasional rains were also forecast over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Western Visayas and provinces of Marinduque and Romblon.
PAGASA said the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
In the same forecast, PAGASA said the rest of Luzon and Visayas will have moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest. The coastal waters along these areas will also be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to southwest with slight to moderate seas, the state bureau said.
