MANILA, Philippines — Senators-elect Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan and Ralph Recto took their oath of office before Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno on Monday.

Pangilinan, who returns to the Senate after three years, was accompanied by his wife Sharon Cuneta and their children KC Concepcion, Frankie, Miel and Miguel.

Recto, who will serve his second term in the Senate, was accompanied by his wife Vilma Santos-Recto and their son Ryan Christian.

Santos-Recto also took her oath of office as representative of the lone district of Lipa, Batangas before Sereno.

Last week, Senator-elect Risa Hontiveros took her oath of office as senator before Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide II in Cebu City.

Boxing icon and incoming Sen. Manny Pacquiao had also taken his oath of office in Sarangani province last week.

President-elect Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President-elect Leni Robredo, meanwhile, are scheduled to take their oaths of office on Thursday. The top two government executives are set to hold separate inauguration programs, departing from tradition.
