Daughter goes bald in support of Duterte's presidential bid

MANILA, Philippines - The daughter of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday shaved her head to show support for her father's presidential bid in 2016.

In her Instagram account, Sara Duterte posted a photo showing her bald head with the hashtags #Duterte2016, #kalboparasapagbabago, #Nohairwecare and #justDUit.

"Nagpa upaw nalang ko samtang naghulat... bisan walay kwarta, bisan way makinarya, bisan mapildi (I shaved my head while waiting... while we have no money, no machinery and risk losing)," the younger Duterte said.

The Davao City mayor reiterated on Monday that he will not run as president in 2016.

He said that he is considering running for reelection as mayor if his daughter Sara does not agree to run for the said position.

Meanwhile, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano admitted that he is still waiting for the elder Duterte to change his decision and run for president instead.

The senator earlier expressed his intent to run for vice president in 2016.
