MANILA, Philippines - A total of 100 soldiers from the Philippine Army will participate in the "I am Free From Corruption" freedom run on October 19 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Pasay City.
The soldiers will run in the 3k and 10k categories to show their support to calls of good governance and to raise awareness on freedom from corruption.
"The participation of Army soldiers in this advocacy event is a manifestation of the Philippine Army’s commitment in pursuing good governance and corruption-free Philippines," Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Noel Detoyato said.
Four years ago, the freedom run was organized by a German institution, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, to sustain and strengthen the call of a corruption-free country.
