Noy appoints 22 new judges
MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino has appointed 22 new judges to various courts in the provinces.
Aquino also signed Republic Act 10608, creating two new regional trial court (RTC) branches in the municipality of Polomok in South Cotabato.
In an advertisement published in The STAR on Sept. 2, the law brought to 185 the total number of new courts created so far this year.
The new appointees in Zamboanga were Judge Catherine Calumba Fabian of Zamboanga City RTC Branch 16; Judge Felix Rodriguez of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Norte RTC Branch 18; Judge Cherry Joy Concha-Ageas of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte RTC Branch 10; Judge Anthony de la Torre Isaw of Zamboanga Sibugay RTC Branch 24; Judge Alnaiza Tungupon Hassiman of the Katipunan-Zamboanga del Norte 5th Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC).
In Misamis, appointed were Judge Alvyn Lopena of the Aloran-Panaon, Misamis Occidental 3rd MCTC; Judge Stephen Ian Belacho of Calamba-Baliangao, Misamis Occidental 1st MCTC; and Judge Sabrina Balbon Lagamon of the Initao-Libertad, Misamis Oriental 8th MCTC.
The Palace appointed Judge Jerlie Luis Requerme of the Impasugong-Sumilao, Bukidnon and Judge Susan Son Azares of the Kibawe-Damulog-Kadingilan, also in Bukidnon; Judge Magnolia Cassion Velez of the Digos City RTC Branch 20; and Judge Nanette Gustillo Lemana of the Davao City Municipal Trial Court Branch 6.
The appointment also included two new judges in Cebu: Judge Kit Enriquez of the Bolijoon-Alcoy, Cebu 9th MCTC and Judge Jacinto Fajardo Jr. of the Talisay City RTC Branch 66.
Other appointees were Judge Gay Marie Lubigan-Rafael of RTC Branch 46, San Jose, Mindoro Occidental; Judge Alelie Briones-Garcia of Polilo-Panukulan, Quezon; Judge Ingrid Anne Riola-Bermido of Padre Burgos-Agdangan, also in Quezon; Judge Noel Sermense of Calbayog City, Samar; Judge Cesar Bordalba of Surigao del Norte; Judge Julieto Bajan of Surigao City; Judge Arnel Amparo Zapatos of Glan-Malapatan, Sarangani and Judge Osop Palagawad Abbas of Wao-Bumbaran, Lanao del Sur. – With Edu Punay
