Gerald back in action-adventure as Buhawi Jack

MANILA, Philippines –  The new adventure of Gerald Anderson is finally on its way as he gears up for Wansapanataym’s Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack starting yesterday on ABS-CBN.

Buhawi Jack is Gerald’s comeback adventure as he plays another important role after his first action series Agimat Presents Tiagong Akyat. Gerald underwent daily training of arnis (a Pinoy martial art) to prepare for the role.

Rap Fernandez, who comes from a clan of showbiz royalties, will play Buhawi Jack’s nemesis Rex Vergara. It’s his first break in showbiz and debut as a Kapamilya.

Jewel Mische as Vera gets her first major project in the Kapamilya Network after her appearance in Maalaala Mo Kaya.

The cast also includes Bugoy Cariño, Philip Salvador, Joel Torre, Mark Gil and Tetchie Agbayani.

The story revolves around the adventures of Jack, Vera, Rex and their quest to solve puzzles from the past that will affect the future. It is based on a 1998 movie which starred Monsour del Rosario as Jack Isidro, together with Ara Mina, Carmina Villarroel and Niño Muhlach.
