Josh Santana back with Eres Tu

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Josh Santana, who Tagalized the theme of Meteor Garden and was Carol Banawa’s partner in the teleserye Bituin, is back with a new album.

Dubbed as Josh Santana Eres Tu, the album shows the Filipino-Hispanic balladeer rendering 10 Fil-Hispano songs. The carrier single, Eres Tu (It’s You), is a well-known Spanish classic. Josh is the only Filipino singer who made a pop version of the song.

Josh also recently released the Tagalog ballad with a Latin flavor, Kahit Minsan Lang, Eres Tu and Kahit Minsan Lang.

Other songs are Historia de un amor, another Spanish classic (made famous by Spanish idols Luis Miguel and Julio Iglesias); three revivals namely Selena’s Dreaming of You, Gloria Estefan’s Don’t Wanna Lose You Now and Rihanna’s I Hate That I Love You with lyrics translated in Spanish.

Josh also included two original Tagalog songs with Latin touch: An upbeat song titled Eres Mio and another power ballad Magpakailanman. Josh also showed his songwriting skills with his own composition, Estar Contigo (To Be With You) written in English with some Spanish lines. The over-all album producer and arranger is Paulo Zarate.

In line with the promotion of Josh’s newest single Kahit Minsan Lang, a music video of it is being played on MYX and MTV.

Josh will have TV appearances in different shows. He will continue his album mall tour on May 10 at SM Baguio (Mother’s Day celebration) and May 22, SM North EDSA. Josh will also visit other SM Supermalls in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Josh Santana Eres Tu (It’s You) is produced by Zachary Barlahan and Dennis Arce and distributed by Polyeast Records. It is now available in record stores nationwide.
